Music Maestro Ilayaraja has received a rare honour. At this year’s London Olympics, scheduled to begin in July, Ilayaraja’s song from the 1981 Kamal Haasan flick ‘Ram Lakshman’ will be played along with a few other samples of world music as part of the opening ceremony. The song is ‘Nanthaan Ungappanda’ and this opening ceremony is going to be conducted in a spectacular fashion by Danny Boyle, the director of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
Ilayaraja himself is said to have been quite surprised by this decision, more so since the song is not among his most popular ones. The opening ceremony is going to be unveiled at a cost of 27Million pounds and it is indeed a great honour for our very own Ilayaraja to be a part of this. Congratulations Sir.

The film is being shot with high technical values and some expensive new equipment has been imported for the project.
Apart from Allari Naresh, Kick Shyam, Vaibhav and Raju Sundaram are the other male leads in this action entertainer.Sneha Ullal and Kamna Jethmalani will be seen as the heroines and AK Entertainments banner is producing this big budget flick.Bappa Lahari, son of Bappi Lahari, is composing the music while background score will be rendered by Thaman.

Apparently, Balakrishna and seniors from the film industry are proposing a big budget mythological extravaganza for the occasion and efforts are on to finalize the story and other details. Yalamanchili Saibabu, who produced 'Sri Rama Rajyam' with Balakrishna, might be the producer of this movie.
Currently, Balakrishna is busy with 'Srimannarayana', which will be his 97th film and his next venture will be 'Aditya 999′ in the direction of Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. The 100th film might take off in late 2013 and this project will generate a lot of interest for sure.

Taapsee has finally confirmed that she's going to play one of the lead roles in Vishal's upcoming Tamil film titled Madha Gaja Raja. Sundar C is going to direct this film. Although, rumours about this film have been rife for the past few weeks, Taapsee had not officially signed the dotted line. Now that everything has fallen into place, Taapsee revealed on twitter, "So now that all formalities are over I can confirm that yes m doin sundar sir's movie opposite vishal n will start shooting for it next week." Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is also playing one of the lead roles and Taapsee insists that she's not playing the second lead in the film. More details about the film will be announced soon. In Telugu, Taapsee hasn't signed any film after Shadow and Chandrasekhar Yeleti's upcoming film and has allotted most of her dates to her films in Tamil.

Julai is touted to be a romantic comedy action entertainer which is currently under final stages of its production. Ileana is the female lead in this film. Trvikram is the director and DSP provided the music.   

We have to wait and see if Raviteja's Devudu Chesina Manushulu that is slated for release on July 13th will have a change in release date or stays a put.
