The audio launch of Karthi’s eagerly awaited Saguni was one of the best events in recent times. It was entertaining and at the same time well-coordinated by producers Dream Warriors.
The function was held at Sathyam Cinemas big screen and the hall was packed with Karthi fans and invitees. Right from Sivakartikeyan's compeering of the show which kept everyone in splits to the spontaneous comments of the celebs onstage, it was fabulous.
Two songs and a trailer were shown before the audio was launched by Surya and Lingusamy in the presence of a several Kollywood dignitaries. The songs screened were the “Vella Bambaram…”number featuring Karthi and Pranitha a duet in Poland. The locales were beautifully captured by P G Muthiah and seemed to be a comical love number between the lead pair.
The other number was the mass “ Pottadha Paththala…”number written by Annamalai which features several drunks dancing to thelyrics. The song featuring Karthi and Santhanam is already topping the charts thanks to the peppy music and realistic lyrics. Karthi has added to the visual appeal by actually tackling some tough dance moves to the delight of his fans.

G V Prakash in his speech said that he was thrilled with the response to the music of his first mass film. GV said : “ It is amazing that 2.5 Lakhs ringtone downloads of the teaser songs happened in just seven days prior to the release of the audio”.
While Surya explained the graph of the making of the film and thanked Studio Greens Gnanavel Raja and Producer S R Prabhu, Karthi spoke about the content of the film. Karthi in his speech said: “The film is a jolly ride all along, Though it touches politics its basically the story of aman who plays mind games to win over adversity and defeat his rivals in a most entertaining manner.”
Heroine Pranitha's presence added the glam value to the event which saw a whole host of celebs which included Venkat Prabhu ,Susindran , Pandiraj, Suraj ,Rajesh ,Partheban ,Manobala, Vijay Antony, Santhakumar , Dhananjayan and T Siva apart from the cast and crew of the film.
Venkat Prabhu took the occasion to announce his next film Biriyani with Karthi. Debut director Shankar Dayal thanked Karthi for the opportunity given to a new director and recalled the tremendous pressure he was under to direct a hit for a mass hero like Karthi. Vendhar movies are releasing the film in T N while Studio Green has worldwide release rights.
